WATERWORKS
For the Nederlands Openluchtmuseum I designed a papercutting of 3,5 meters long, inspired by water. The water theme refers to the destination of the artwork: the toiletarea of the museum. Because I grew up close to the river I had enough associations with water to fill the strip. In the papercutting all water is made of blue paper.
The papercutting is transferred to ceramic tiles which are built in the toiletarea. The tiles are baked in a special manner so that the relief of the paper cutting still can be felt.
Go to the bathroom of the open air museum / openluchtmuseum Arnhem NL and enjoy my waterworks. 15 ways to use water.
